The Richard Snyder Memorial Prize is awarded annually for a manuscript of original poetry by any poet writing in English.  

Manuscripts will be accepted from January 1 through May 1, 2025  

The prize winner will receive $1,000 and publication with Ashland Poetry Press.  Winners will be announced in the fall of 2024.

* 2025 judge will be Kim Addonizio.

Guidelines:

* Manuscripts should be 48-96 pages. (Slightly longer is okay, within reason.)

* Please number pages and include a table of contents.

* No identifying information should appear on the manuscript itself, though acknowledgements may be included.  (A cover letter with short bio is also optional below.)

* Multiple manuscripts by the same author may be submitted, but each must be accompanied by a separate reading fee.

* Manuscripts submitted in previous years may also be resubmitted, but (again) must be accompanied by a new reading fee.

* Individual poems within your manuscript may have been previously published, but not the work as a whole.
